There are some people that start off as clients and quickly become friends. That's Rickey and Alayna. They are some of the most kind and genuine people I've come to know.

She contacted me about 2 months before their wedding date. With a baby on the way they wanted to start their new family off with an intimate ceremony and reception including their closest friends and family. I had previously shot her sister's wedding and I fell in love with their whole crew. So when she reached out and said, "we want to do a gender reveal before our first dance" I couldn't say no.

Flash forward to their wedding day, my jaw hit the floor when I walked into Makeworth Market in Bellingham, WA. On top of Makeworth Market being a gorgeous coffee shop and event venue, Alayna and her family pieced together the most beautiful modern details with disco balls to accent. From baking and decorating her own wedding cake (yes that huge cake, she made it herself!) to professional grade florals her sisters put together, every corner of the reception area screamed "My whole family should really be a professional wedding planning service".
